Sealed bids for a prime contractor to build an addition to and renovate the Kenneth E. Carl Building Technologies Center (BTC) will be received online via the PennBid website by Pennsylvania College of Technology until 2:30 PM on Wednesday, 9 July 2025 at which time the bids will be opened electronically and shortly thereafter bid tabulation results will be publicly posted on the PennBid website. The project consists of construction of a 1,600 square foot glass and masonry entrance addition and renovation of 48,000 square feet of laboratory and classroom spaces, corridors, and restrooms. The project will modernize the entrance to the BTC facility and construct a state-of-the-art industry show-room, meeting space, a hands-on materials library and instructional space. The project includes upgraded finishes, lighting and occupancy sensors, HVAC, automatic sprinkler system, updated visual/audible fire alarm system and improved telecommunication Wi-Fi coverage throughout the existing 48,000 square foot facility.
