Chemistry: Scope: To furnish liquid helium to the LSU Chemistry Department (Choppin Hall) & CMB building 0133 Choppin Hall Baton Rouge, LA 70803. The liquid helium is needed for a variety of scientific research applications. Requirements: - Must have 60, 100, and 250 liter super insulated Dewars suitable for liquid helium. - Standard liquid helium transfer port must be provided on the top of the provided dewar to accommodate a stab diameter of ½ inch. - Dewars must have lifting hooks suitable for overhead lifting of a full dewar by hoist or crane. - Dewars must have electric heaters suitable to pressurize the dewar to 4 PSI. - Supplier must provide Dewars. - Supplier must include all rental, delivery, and any other applicable fees in the quoted bid pricing. LSU will not pay any additional fees or charges beyond the original quoted bid pricing. Delivery: - The deliveries must be made to the LSU Chemistry Department, Shipping and Receiving to 0133 Choppin Hall, Baton Rouge, La 70803 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. - Deliveries must be made no later than 7 working days of order placement by the end user. CAMD: Scope: To furnish liquid helium to the LSU Center for Advanced Microstructures & Devices (CAMD) 6980 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. The liquid helium is needed to replace the CAMD Liquid Helium in the Multipole Wiggler and the Wavelength Shifter when they need to be refilled. Requirements: - Must have 250 liter super insulated Dewars suitable for liquid helium. - Standard liquid helium transfer port must be provided on the top of the provided dewar to accommodate a stab diameter of ½ inch. - Dewars must have lifting hooks suitable for overhead lifting of a full dewar by hoist or crane. - Dewars must have electric heaters suitable to pressurize the dewar to 4 PSI. - Supplier must provide Dewars. - Supplier must include all rental, delivery, and any other applicable fees in the quoted bid pricing.
