The City of Seward Electric Department seeks proposals from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct a three-sided lean-to structure for equipment storage at the City’s Electric Department lay down yard. The primary purpose of this structure is to protect utility trucks, cable reels, transformers, and powerline equipment from weather exposure. The structure will be 40 feet deep and 80 feet wide with the open side along the 80-foot length. The rear wall must be 14 feet high, and vertical supports must be spaced between 20 to 30 feet to accommodate vehicle access. The awarded contractor will be responsible for site preparation, procurement of materials, and construction. The structure must meet all applicable State of Alaska snow load and building code requirements for Seward.
