1. The GC/CM contract includes preconstruction and construction for the King County Metro Fixed Asset State of Good Repair (SGR) program. Metro serves customers with a wide range of mobility services including providing and funding bus, paratransit, vanpool, water taxi, and flexible services including the Seattle Streetcar, Sound Transit Link light rail, and Sound Transit Express bus services. Metro operates more than 180 bus routes, and its fixed-route services delivered more than 130 million passenger trips in 2019. Prior to COVID-19, Metro delivered more than 400,000 trips every weekday; roughly half of downtown Seattle commuters relied on Metro transit. Metro also offers a growing number of flexible services tailored to local needs, such as community vans and on demand services. Metro’s Fixed Asset Portfolio consists of six sub-portfolios.The objective of this program is to upgrade and replace aging equipment and infrastructure in Metro’s SGR sub-portfolio. The SGR sub-portfolio provides reinvestment, replacement, and refurbishment for existing infrastructure and facilities. 2. The following Fixed Asset/SGR projects are anticipated to be included in the scope of assigned projects. Based on ongoing needs, condition assessments, and funding in the SGR program, the County may amend the list of projects to be included. a. Bus and Vehicle Lift Replacements – replacement of aged and obsolete lifts, including three near-term projects and one potential project: b. the following near-term projects: 1) Bellevue Base Wash Phase 2 Bus Lifts 2) Bellevue Base Vehicle Maintenance Bus Lifts 3) Atlantic Base Bus Lifts Replacement 4) North Base Vehicle Maintenance Lifts Replacement c. Underground storage tanks (USTs) including repairs, improvements and/or removals at: 1) South Base d. Comfort stations: 1) Westwood e. Systems refurbishment and replacements based on ongoing needs and condition assessments for fixed assets including: 1) Fire control systems 2) Park & Rides 3) Fixed and moveable equipment 4) Electrical power facilities 5) Facility improvements and refurbishment 6) Site utility refurbishment and upgrades including Ryerson Base Sewer Piping Replacement 7) Site and facility electrical including Communication Room Expansion at the Transit Control Center (TCC) 8) Overall Industrial Waste System Replacement
