EEA seeks projects that will support the GGCP through outreach and education in gateway cities that DCR is actively planting, that informs residents within DCR designated planting zones of program benefits and opportunities to participate in the program. The project scope should identify measurable goals and/or deliverables (e.g. total number of households contacted, number of streets/homes canvassed, number of community events that will be hosted, type and number of materials for distribution, etc.). The scope of work may include: 1.) Disseminating GGCP information via targeted neighborhood canvassing to residents within the GGCP tree planting area, utilizing ArcGIS FieldMaps, in collaboration with DCR Forestry staff. Distributing marketing materials to residents and homeowners, including direct mailers, water bill inserts, and postcards. Collaborating with gateway municipalities is strongly encouraged. 2.) Sharing social media posts created by GGCP & maurbancanopy.org. Creating and sharing urban forestry related content to increase awareness of the GGCP and the benefits of urban tree planting. Social media posts created must be approved by designated DCR Forester before posting.
