The Design-Build Contractor will be responsible for: • Developing site-specific architectural and engineering designs based on THC input; • Conducting all necessary code and permitting research; • Ensuring that all structures comply with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements; • Addressing functionality, aesthetics, budget, and constructability throughout the design and construction phases; • Coordinating inspections and certifications for all safety systems. Final building specifications—including structure type, finishes, systems, and layout—will be determined during the collaborative design process with THC staff, with an emphasis on honoring the sites’ cultural significance while meeting the practical needs of modern public use.
