1. Project Planning and Communication o Meet with County leadership and HR to understand objectives and timelines. o Develop a comprehensive project plan and communication strategy. 2. Data Collection and Analysis o Review existing job descriptions, organizational charts, and compensation structures. o Conduct employee and manager questionnaires or interviews if necessary. o Benchmark positions using regional and industry-specific market data. 3. Job Classification Review o Evaluate current job classifications and recommend revisions, consolidations, or new classifications as needed. o Ensure compliance with applicable FLSA standards and ADA requirements. 4. Compensation Study o Conduct external market comparisons using public sector and, where appropriate, private sector comparators. o Develop updated salary schedules and recommend compensation policy guidelines. 5. Final Report and Presentation o Prepare and present a comprehensive final report including findings, recommendations, and implementation guidance. o Provide tools and training for HR to maintain the new system.
