• The Contractor shall provide all necessary containers for collection of organic waste and compostable materials at cafeteria and kitchen locations. Organic waste and compostable materials shall be collected in containers that are waterproof, vermin-proof, and well-labeled to indicate what should be deposited into the container. Preferred container will be a 64 gallon roll cart with lid, wheels, and handles. • Upon the commencement of work under this contract, the Contractor shall provide a sufficient number of containers per location based on past diversion volumes (see below). Containers shall be free of scratches, dents, and holes. (If containers go unused throughout the life of the contract, the Contractor may remove those that are not needed with prior approval from the HCS Representative, and/or the HCS Representative may request that they be removed or relocated.) If compostable liners are needed in the containers, the Contractor shall determine that the container is clean upon tipping and then line the container with the compostable bag. Compostable bags must be approved/accepted by the Horry County Solid Waste Authority. • If a container is damaged or broken, the Contractor shall provide maintenance to container. If container cannot be repaired, the Contractor shall provide a clean replacement by the next scheduled pickup.
