This project generally consists of Safety Area Improvements for Runway 19 at Greenville Downtown Airport. The project Base Bid involves all demolition, erosion control, fencing, grading, drainage, paving, airfield electrical, and pavement marking for airfield improvements for Runway 19 end of the airfield. Work involves partial relocation and realignment of Taxiways A, A7 and A8, partial extension of Taxiway B and fillet widening of Taxiway B5. Work includes approximately 8,100 square yards of new airfield pavement, 2,700 square yards of milled overlay airfield pavement, 10,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 1,542 linear feet of storm drainage pipe and 21 associated drainage structures, construction of permanent dry detention basin, 2,370 linear feet of new chain link fence. Incidental items include but are not limited to demolition, grassing, pavement markings, sediment and erosion control items, and taxiway edge lighting and signage.
