This project seeks to remediate the drainage infrastructure along Bidwell Street in the Historic District of the City of Folsom. In it's current state, Bidwell Street lacks a storm water drainage connection between its eastern and western halves, as the old pipe running alongside the southern edge of the road has completely corroded. As a result, an impromptu drainage ditch has been carved in native ground due to flow over time. This runoff is now undercutting the roadway and compromising the integrity of the asphalt and subbase. The project involves the installation of new PVC SDR-26 pipeline and manholes connecting the eastern and western halves of Bidwell Street. PVC pipe will be provided by the City. Removal of some old storm water structures will be required. Furthermore, concrete curb and gutter will be installed along the southern edge of the road, connecting existing curb and gutter infrastructure.
