Provide legal services, as assigned and under the direction of the County Counsel, in cases where conflicts or other circumstances exist within the Office of County Counsel, thereby preventing the Office of County Counsel from representing the County. Matters include but are not limited to tort and contract litigation, civil rights litigation, real estate transactions, labor matters (including but not limited to, the representation of the County in labor union negotiations or arbitrations, together with other cases and labor-related legal matters), public procurement matters, municipal court matters, civil commitment matters, and certain contempt proceedings. A pool of firms will be selected. Inclusion in the pool does not guarantee your firm will be assigned any matters.
