1. The Contractor agrees to provide all labor, materials, and equipment, to perform all work required for the armored car pickup and delivery service. 2. The Contractor is required to pick up five (5) days per week, excluding State and Federal Holidays, State holidays days are identified at the following website: http://www.calhr.ca.gov/employees/pages/state-holidays.aspx. Federal Holidays are identified at the following web site: https://www.frbservices.org/about/holidayschedules/index.html. Pickups will be from the DCA’s location at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite S-100, Sacramento, CA 95834, for delivery to Bank of America’s West Sacramento cash vault. 3. In the event Contractor, despite its best efforts and due to unforeseen circumstances not within its control, is unable to provide pickup service within the specified time frame, Contractor shall promptly notify the project coordinator and the DCA and Contractor shall arrange an alternative pickup time that is mutually agreed upon. 4. The Contractor and DCA acknowledge that time is of the essence and the State of California receives interest on funds for the day of Contractor’s pickup service solely if the State’s funds are delivered and deposited to the Bank of America’s Cash Vault location by 4:00 p.m. the same day of pick-up. 5. Contractor agrees to wait at least five (5) but no more than ten (10) minutes for any pickup. Time begins from the moment the Contractor notifies DCA personnel of their arrival. If wait time exceeds the time stated herein, it is agreed that the Contractor may leave and that such departure shall not be a breach of this Agreement. 6. In the event that Contractor, despite its best efforts and due to unforeseen circumstances not within its control, was unable to provide same business day delivery service to the delivery bank location, Contractor shall provide notification of that fact to the project coordinator no later than twelve (12) noon Pacific Time the following business day and indicate why it was not possible to provide the same business day delivery service of the funds to the delivery bank location. 7. Contractor agrees to furnish, at all times, the most expeditious and efficient service possible. However, Contractor shall not be liable for nonperformance or delay not caused by its fault or neglect, or in case the same is caused by strikes, riots, acts of God, or means beyond its control, but Contractor agrees to be responsible and liable for any loss of property which it receives in accordance with the agreement.
