Pier 1 North Berth Reconstruction: The work under this contract includes structural and marine improvements to the northern face of Pier 1 at the Port of Davisville. Scope elements include selective demolition; installation of new, coated steel pipe piles; installation of precast concrete bent caps, deck planks, and a cast-in-place topping slab; installation of new fender systems; installation of new mooring hardware; and the addition of safety-related features. All work shall conform to the requirements of the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) 2022 Grant Award and to applicable environmental and permitting requirements. Stern Offload Ramp Construction: This project involves the construction of a new stern off-load Rollon/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) ramp along the north face of Pier 1 at the Port of Davisville. The scope includes installation of new, coated steel pipe piles; installation of precast concrete bent caps, deck planks, and a cast-in-place topping slab comprising the offload ramp structure; and installation of a timber fender system. The stern offload ramp is intended to accommodate “true” stern-loading vessel operations in the Port, where there are currently no facilities to do so. All work shall conform to the requirements of the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) 2023 Grant Award and to applicable environmental and permitting requirements.
