The selected contractor will be responsible for activating the irrigation systems at each of the aforementioned locations every spring. The selected contractor should address everything that could interrupt the normal operation of the irrigation systems, including but not limited to: checking zones for broken or clogged heads, clogged nozzles, leaks and directional flow, and adjusting timing and the amount of water according to seasonal and current water restrictions. Repairs during this time may be required and shall be completed on an hourly basis. The selected contractor will also be responsible for winterizing each irrigation system following the irrigation season, typically in October. Winterization should include turning off the water supply, opening drain valves, blowing out the sprinklers, and insulating components.
