1. Filters will be of a multi-ply, internally supported wire ring panel design to maximize airflow and air particle capture: 1.1. Filters shall have no less than three distinct plies that are designed to filter from course to increasingly finer deniers of media. 1.2. Filter shall be comprised of a minimum of 30% recycled material by weight. 1.3. Filter shall be composed of material that has dual directional strength, ensuring filter integrity as it becomes loaded. 1.4. The filter shall utilize both wet and dry tackifiers to maximize filtration. 1.5. Filter shall utilize an internal wire support of galvanized wire. Wire shall be encapsulated between the media with a thermally generated seal. 1.6. Filter construction shall be of a design to limit the amount of built-in structural bracing that impedes airflow. Crosswires may be used for added rigidity on filters requiring greater structural stability. 1.7. Filter shall have a salvage edge not less than 0.5 inches and not to exceed 1 inch around the entire panel. 1.8. Filters shall be available in a linked panel configuration. 1.9. Filters shall be available in custom sizes if needed and shall be in configurations required for confined or limited access units.
