2.1 Paper Recycling Services A. Frequency of Pickup: The vendor shall provide paper recycling pickup services every other week (twice a month). Specific pickup days will be determined in coordination with Mt. SAC facilities management. B. Types of Materials: The contract will be for the shredding and recycling of confidential paperwork and computer hard drives. C. Container Requirements: The vendor will provide clearly labeled recycling bins (with a minimum capacity of 64 gallons) at designated collection points across the campus. D. Compliance Standards: The vendor must comply with the following regulations and standards: 1. The California Code of Regulations Title 14, Division 7 (Recycling Regulations) 2. ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Standards) E. Reporting: The vendor shall provide a monthly report documenting the volume of paper recycled, collection dates, and any contamination issues encountered during the pickup. 2.2 Shredding Services A. Frequency of Pickup: Hard drive shredding services will be performed four to six times per year, upon request. B. Types of Materials Accepted: The vendor shall securely shred the following materials: 1. Hard drives C. Secure Methods: The vendor must utilize a mobile shredding vehicle or facility with industrialgrade shredders that meet the following standards: 1. NAID AAA Certification (National Association for Information Destruction) 2. P- shred certification (Cross-cut or micro-cut levels according to DIN 66399) D. Chain of Custody: A detailed chain of custody must be maintained, with all materials logged and tracked during the entire shredding process. E. Certification of Destruction: The vendor shall provide a certificate of destruction for each shredding event, ensuring all sensitive materials have been destroyed according to industry standards.
