A. On an as-needed basis, pre-qualified firms selected from respondents to this RFP will be required to submit proposals for a defined scope of services. 1. If the proposal is acceptable to the University, a purchase order will be issued, and the selected firm will be authorized to proceed. B. The University intends to evaluate responses and select multiple firms of various sizes that exhibit comprehensive experience in some or all the areas identified below: 1. All phases of landscape architectural design and construction administration 2. Master Planning 3. Design Guidelines and Standards 4. Sustainability, including green infrastructure and storm water management 5. Leading multi-disciplinary teams 6. Academic / Institutional Projects 7. Public / Stakeholder engagement C. The landscape architect may be involved with projects from their initial phases, such as Feasibility, to the final phases of Construction Administration. Tasks include, but are not limited to: 1. Project meeting coordination and attendance 2. Coordination and collaboration with other team members and sub-consultants 3. Site inventory and analysis 4. Development of drawings and specifications to communicate design intent and requirements for construction 5. Preparation of Opinions of Probable Cost 6. Coordination of the permitting process including preparation of application materials. Please note in the proposal if the firm has direct experience working with DCA and 3rd party verification services. 7. Bidding and Construction Administration services, including preparation of bid packages, responding to RFIs, review of shop drawings, construction observation, preparation of field reports, and preparation of punch lists D. Deliverables the landscape architect may produce include, but are not limited to: 1. Meeting notes 2. Project schedule 3. Documents required for permitting 4. Illustrative Drawings 5. Schematic Drawings 6. Design Development and Construction Drawings, including: existing conditions plan, site plan, site demolition and protection, layout, grading and drainage, materials, furnishings, soil, planting, irrigation, lighting, site details 7. Technical Specifications 8. Reports 9. Opinions of Probable Cost
