A. Approximately 4,000 process services occur per year. Service of process will primarily include personal and substitute service in juvenile prosecution cases, child protective services litigation and may include service in other civil matters. Service will involve picking up legal documents requiring service of process from the County Attorney’s Office, filing returns of service with the District Clerk and providing electronic or verbal confirmation of filed returns to the County Attorney’s Office. Service provider must not impose a limit on the number of attempts made to serve a particular witness or party. B. Legal documents to be served will include subpoenas, citations, summonses and related legal documents. C. The Service Provider must serve legal documents as soon as practical after receipt and pursuant to the direction of the County Attorney’s Office.
