General Description This project involves the construction of an approximately 1,127 square foot building expansion to the existing Val Verde County Adult Probation facility. The scope includes structural foundation work, roofing, interior build-out for new office spaces and a conference room, electrical, mechanical, and all necessary finishes to match the existing building Foundation Work • Construct a new foundation as outlined in Sheet No. 6. • Embed #5 anchors at 12" on center, minimum 8" depth into existing foundation. • Use two-component epoxy adhesive for securing anchors. • Pour 3,000 PSI ready-mix concrete, matching existing finish floor elevation. Structural and Framing • Maintain 9-foot interior ceiling height to match existing. • Extend existing roof slope per Sheet No. 5. • Use 2x8 rafters spaced 16" on center. • Install 7/16" OSB roof sheathing. • Strip existing roof and ensure all framing connections are securely attached. Roofing • Install new roofing over entire building. • Use 30-year Architectural shingles to match existing colors. • Install new drip edge. • Submit material submittals for approval prior to purchase/installation. Interior Construction • Construct 4 new office areas and 1 conference room (west end of addition). • Remove existing windows and install one window per new office and four in the conference room, matching existing in size and style. • Install one code-compliant egress door. • Open existing wall for new hallway connection.
