This project includes but is not limited to the following: • Replacement of current units that are used for museum exhibit conditioning that require precise cooling and humidity control. New units to operate and condition areas as currently designed. Units will not be conditioning a data center in the museum but will operate in the same way to preserve historical artifacts utilizing air cooled chiller air handlers for cooling, humidification and dehumidification. • New units are to maintain precise temperature and humidity control to protect museum artifacts. • New systems to include remote reporting capability for any temperature and/or humidity that is outside of the designed levels. Email alert to the Mclean County Maintenance Foreman for off site notification of any trouble signals. • All efforts made to minimize disruption to museum operations during installation. • Identify necessary modifications to ductwork, electrical systems, and plumbing connections and complete any changes needed to accommodate new units. • Provide a project timeline for start and completion. • Disconnect, remove and dispose (recycling preferred) of 11 existing data center cooling unit air handlers in 11 different mechanical closets and all components that will not be used for the new systems. • Include as an option in bid to replace the exterior air-cooled chiller unit and pumps, including removal of existing unit and components. • Temporary sealing of existing chiller piping during replacement to prevent infiltration of debris or contaminants. • Installation of new data center air handlers and air-cooled chiller unit (optional bid) at same locations as existing units.
