The following project is the subject of this Request for Proposal ("RFP"): Longmeadow Middle School Project, Longmeadow, Massachusetts The project consists of the construction of an new, ground-up Longmeadow Middle School and the scope generally consists of: - The construction of a new 134,975gsf building on the open space of the current Williams Middle School at 410 Williams Street. The new school will serve a design enrollment of 665 students. The existing Williams Middle School will remain in operation until the new school is completed. - The existing site is a 16.6-acre parcel. - Abatement and demolition of the existing single story Williams Middle School - The sitework consists of all new stormwater drainage, new utilities, new parking lots, new vehicular paths, new landscaping, new athletic fields, etc. - This project will be installing a new geothermal system to power the building - The new building will be constructed while the existing facility is in operation on the same site.
