Item 1 – Recreational pathway Restoration Description: This work shall consist of re-crowning/re-grading and compacting ~1200’ of existing 6-8’ wide natural surface trail to shed into ditch using on-site materials. Grade reversals should be added wherever possible to aid in the shedding of water and the ditching alongside the path must be re-shaped. Stones found on site should be used to add stone check dams and to line the ditch. Method of Measurement: The quantity of natural surface trail with ditching to be measured for payment shall be the actual number of linear feet of trail with ditches established in the complete and accepted work, as determined by the City Representative. Basis of Payment: The accepted quantity of natural surface trail will be paid for at the contract price per linear foot. Payment shall be full compensation for restoration of 6-8’ finished trail and ditching, and for furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Item 2 – Bridge 1: Build 22’ x 8’ bridge to replace culvert. Description: This work shall consist of replacing a large culvert with a steelstringer trail bridge. Bridge Description is as follows: 1. 22’ x 8’ Bridge. Basic details below, see appendix 2 for full trail bridge specifications. a. Steel Stringer Assembly equal or similar to: i. Beam Size: 3 @ WFB 12” x 19#. Weight 1254 lb. ii. Diaphragm: 4 @ CHA 6” x 8.2# A36 4’. Weight 131 lb. iii. Angle: 8 @ SAN 4” x 4” x ¼” A36 6” b. Locust decking (Parks can help source this) c. Locust or P.T. or Concrete Sills d. Armored banks with local stone e. See Appendix 2 for trail bridge construction specifications. Method of Measurement: The quantity of bridges constructed to be measured for payment shall be per bridge. Basis of Payment: The accepted quantity of bridges built will be paid for at the contract price per bridge. Payment shall be full compensation for furnishing, hauling and placing the specified materials, and for furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Item 3 – Bridge 2: Build 20’ x 8’ bridge to replace culvert. Description: This work shall consist of replacing a large culvert with a steelstringer trail bridge with a downstream railing. Bridge Description is as follows: 1. 20’ x 8’ Bridge. Basic details below, see appendix 2 for full trail bridge specifications. a. Steel Stringer Assembly equal or similar to: i.
