1. Plans, organizes, and implements the approved Public Health Nursing Service in the community or assigned district. 2. Provides supervision, assignments and instruction to Nursing Division staff and evaluates their performance. 3. Identifies and recommends improvement and development of services. 4. Participates in the conduct of studies and surveys. 5. Coordinates the Public Health Nursing Service with other activities of the health unit. 6. Participates in special health projects for the community or assigned unit. 7. Makes arrangements for psychological testing when necessary. 8. Refers cases for other needed medical, social or mental health services. 9. Conducts follow-up activities on case findings. 10. Gathers and disseminates public health information.
