Grand Island Utilities (GIUD) has the system capacity, and available land, to accommodate a data infrastructure facility. The site shown is favorable due to its direct proximity to an existing substation and eleven (11) MW of solar generation. The lease could begin as soon as the land is harvested this Fall. Entering into the Interruptible Service Rate Agreement is required in parallel to the land lease agreement. The Contract term will run as defined in the Interruptible Service Rate Agreement included with this document. Power will be provided at 13.8kV. The awarded facility will be responsible for the cost of all infrastructure improvements required to connect to the City’s adjacent substation. This includes poles, transformers, switches, cable, terminal boxes, access roads, culverts, fences, lighting, Utility labor, Utility equipment, etc. Please note that the City does not offer a Demand Response option at this time, but is willing to discuss this option in the future should it be deemed beneficial by the City of Grand Island.
