The County Landfill has eighty-one (81) acres of tillable land available for agricultural production. The producer is responsible for all aspects of the crop production, including but not limited to tillage, harvesting, soil improvement techniques, etc. Producer may utilize conventional herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers in accordance with all Federal, State and local regulations and industry best management practices. The producer will be required to provide the County with a list of products, safety data sheets and product information for all agricultural treatment products for approval prior to use. The landfill site has environmental sensitive areas that would prohibit use of some products, these areas will be made known prior to implementation agricultural activities.
