A. Pour In Place Rear Door Repair 1. Secure boiler using proper lockout and tagout procedures. 2. Open the rear door and support it from the floor using steel support. 3. Supply the required plywood needed to protect the floor around the rear door work area. 4. Remove the existing damaged refractory from the rear door by means of jack hammers and demolition tools. 5. Refuse container provided by contractor to be dumped at Lexington County Edmund Landfill 429 Landfill Ln, Lexington, SC 29073. 6. Prepare for installing new anchors and insulation. (Hot work permit will be required for this procedure) 7. The door will be refurbished per Cleaver Brooks specifications and standards using OEM templates to ensure the critical tum-around area is of correct volume and shape. 8. The door construction to utilize a high strength castable refractory lower section, including an all monolithic pour in lieu of baffle tile. The upper section to utilize high temperature ceramic fiber insulation material rated for 3000 °F backed by a 1200 °F insulating board, encompassed with heavy duty S.S. mesh wire and S.S. anchors. 9. Close the rear door with new gaskets, ensuring the clearance at the rear tube sheet is correct and true. 10. Allow for proper curing. B. Rebuild Front Inner Door 1. Secure boiler using proper lockout and tagout procedures. 2. Supply and deliver (1) 96" replacement inner door insulation kit. 3. The existing insulation or refractory materials to be removed from the front inner door.
