A. REINFORCING STEEL: i. Steel reinforcing and deformed steel reinforcing to be Corrosion resistant reinforcing (CRR Class I) as per plans. (Attachment B) ii. All reinforcing steel shall be deformed and shall conform to ASTM A615, Grade 60 except for steels noted as Corrosion Resistant Reinforcing (CRR) which shall conform to Section 223 and 406 of 2020 VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications (See Attachment A). iii. All reinforcing bar dimensions on the detailed drawings are to centers of the bars except where otherwise noted and are subject to fabrication and construction tolerances. All steel shall conform to reinforcing steel schedule sheet located in Attachment B. iv. 3,960 lbs of CRR Steel Rebar v. The fabricator shall supply 10 extra reinforcing steel bars of each size that is NOT included on the steel schedule sheets. vi. Unit of Measure Pound shall represent LUMP SUM for all requested materials on this line. B. STEEL H PILE: i. Steel H Pile 12 x 53 x 40-foot length / ASTM 709, Grade 50 / Quantity of 20/ Steel shall be in accordance with VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications 2020 section 228 (Attachment C) ii. Unit of Measure shall be EACH for all requested materials on this line C. STEEL PILE POINTS: i. 12in. steel pile points. Steel pile points shall be fabricated from cast steel conforming to ASTM A148/A148M (Grade 90/60 Tuf-tip H-777 hard bite pile points) Quantity of 20. ii. The pile points SHALL NOT be welded to the pile. iii. Unit of measure shall read as EACH for all requested materials for this line. D. DELIVERY: i. VDOT Atlee Bridge Crew Area Headquarters, 10267 Telegraph Road, Ashland, VA 23005 ii. Must contact Robert Fortune 804-715-2003 or Michael Randolph 804-525-0375 24 hours in advance prior to delivery to make delivery arrangements. iii. Deliveries can only be made on Monday – Thursday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This location is closed on Friday’s. No deliveries can be made on Friday.
