• The Contractor shall provide annual maintenance and inspection to ensure all fire extinguishers operate effectively and safely. It includes a thorough examination and any necessary repairs or replacement. • Annual inspection shall reveal if hydrostatic testing, teardowns, or recharging is needed. • The Contractor shall use collar rings as proof that an extinguisher was hydro-tested, recharged, or torn down. • The Contractor shall pressure test the fire extinguisher cylinder in accordance with the required number of years intervals. • The Contractor shall perform continuity test on the hose of the CO2 extinguishers, size I0lb and larger to ensure the wire braiding remains capable of dissipating any static buildup. • The Contractor shall recharge the fire extinguishers after they have been in use by applying wet chemical, carbon dioxide (CO2), or dry chemical whichever the case maybe. The Contractor shall attach a "Verification of Service" collar, usually made of plastic, serves as visual proof that the extinguisher was disassembled, and maintenance performed. • The Contractor shall provide the Contracting Administrator (CA) or his/her designee with a written description of the repair services to be performed, an estimate of the repair services (labor cost in accordance with the Price Schedule and actual cost of parts), and an estimated time for performing the repair services within one (I) workday of receipt of notification from the CA. • The Contractor shall furnish a repair service report at the time of the completion of each repair service provided.
