Carteret County is requesting sealed bids from qualified marine contractors for the performance of maintenance dredging activities within the Davis Ferry Channel. This vital waterway provides ferry and boater access between Davis and Cape Lookout National Seashore and requires periodic dredging to maintain navigable conditions. The project will involve the removal and disposal of approximately 993 cubic yards of accumulated sediment to restore the channel to its authorized depth. All work shall be performed in accordance with the project specifications, applicable provisions of the CAMA General Permit, and in full compliance with all state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and permit conditions governing dredging, marine construction, and environmental protection.
