Zone 1: Approximately 73 acres 1) The contractor shall remove and process all standing or leaning storm damaged trees in Zone 1. 2) The contractor shall masticate all cut and down material greater than 6 inches in diameter or remove from the park. 3) The contractor shall masticate all material less than 6 inches in diameter. 4) The contractor shall not create a burn pile in Zone 1. 5) The contractor shall return all tipped root balls into the hole. 6) The contractor shall cut all stumps, regardless of diameter, to no more than 6 inches above ground level. 7) The Contractor shall level/repair all ruts deeper than 18 inches left by equipment. 8) All log landing and equipment staging areas require prior park manager approval. Zones 2: Approximately 96 acres 9) The Contractor shall cut all standing or leaning storm damaged trees to the ground. 10) The Contractor shall process or pile any material greater than 20 inches in diameter in Zone 2. 11) The Contractor shall masticate or pile any material less than 20 inches in diameter. See specific instructions regarding piles. 12) Where possible, greater than 100 feet from roads or trails, the Contractor shall leave standing dead snags with undamaged tops that do not pose an immediate threat of dropping large limbs to aid habitat restoration. 13) The Contractor shall cut all stumps less than 20 inches in diameter to less than 6 inches above ground level. 14) The Contractor shall repair/level any ruts deeper than 18 inches and longer than 50 feet left by equipment. Zone 3: Approximately 26 acres 15) The Contractor shall cut all standing or leaning storm damaged trees to less than 6 inches above ground level. 16) The Contractor shall process, scatter, or pile all material greater than 20 inches in diameter. 17) The Contractor shall masticate or pile all material less than 20 inches in diameter. 18) Where possible, greater than 100 feet from roads or trails, the Contractor shall leave standing dead snags with undamaged tops that do not pose an immediate threat of dropping large limbs to aid in habitat restoration. 19) The Contractor shall cut all stumps, less than 20 inches in diameter, to less than 6 inches above ground level. 20) The Contractor shall repair/level all ruts deeper than 18 inches and longer than 50 feet left by equipment.
