Acceptable products include but are not limited to: Green or air-dried dimensional lumber, rough-cut cants, tree stakes, garden box kits, saw logs, stump stools, play logs, other fabricated wood items suitable for use in park infrastructure, horticultural projects, or public amenities. Eligible source material must originate from trees that were already fallen, dead, dying, or hazardous; trees removed as part of land management or infrastructure projects that support urban forestry and sustainability goals; logs sourced from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR) operations or from other municipal, institutional, or contractor sources that deliver material to the Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center. Trees must not be removed for the primary purpose of generating lumber.
