Exterior Walkway Roof Replacement at Mendenhall Middle School; A brief description of work in the project follows: • Roof Size is approximately 4,100 sq ft. • Tear off the existing roofing membrane and insulation down to the original concrete deck. • Insulation system shall consist of fully-adhered tapered insulation with a fully-adhered coverboard on existing concrete canopy roof areas as shown on roof plans. • The replacement membrane assembly consists of the application of two-ply modified bitumen membrane fully adhered to the insulation assembly. Scope of Work includes installation of new perimeter wood nailers and edge metal. • Work includes all sheet metal fabrications shown on the contract documents and as specified. • Drainage for the roof will require installation of new gutters and downspouts, with related below grade piping to tie-in to existing and new storm drainage structures. • Roofing system installation shall require on-going inspections by the Membrane Manufacturer during the installation process and will be eligible to receive a 20 year NDL material and labor warranty, full-system including the insulation and membrane. • Provide and install new storm drainage structures as shown on plans. • The resulting contract will be to furnish all labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work as shown on the plans and described in the project specifications.
