This is a federally funded single award ID/IQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contract. The work shall include, but not be limited to, the installation of new electrical systems, upgrading existing systems, the repair of damaged systems, and the removal of abandoned or un-repairable systems. These systems will include roadway lighting, sign lighting, area lighting and various other electrical work in and around facilities within Division 13. The Rest Areas, on and off ramps and surrounding areas on I-26 East and West in Henderson County will also be included in the maintenance area of this contract. Roadway and sign lighting systems consist of fluorescent, high-pressure sodium and mercury vapor lamps. Various ballasts are required with voltages ranging from 120 volts to 480 volts. Lighting repair may include, but not be limited to, the repair, replacement, installation or removal of lamps, lenses, photo cells, conduit, relays and cabinet components, ballasts, defective wiring, poles, arms, bases, breakaway bolts, breakaway bases, luminaries, reflectors and fuses etc. Roadway structures include 110-ft. masts that may require a crane truck in order to make the necessary repairs. Roadway lighting work will also include repair, replacement, installation or removal of damaged poles, underground wiring, and associated panels and circuits.
