The City of Miami is actively exploring a promising opportunity at the Miami Regional Airport (KMIO) for the planning and operation of a Specialized Aeronautical Service Operator (SASO). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to procure expert professional aircraft services for our aviation clientele. The initial contract will span one year, with the option to renew it for up to four additional years. The selected provider will operate independently, subject to periodic oversight by the Airport Manager, City Manager, and the Airport Board of Directors. By collaborating, we can reinvigorate the spirit of the aviation community here in the City of Miami. Here is a compilation of highly requested and essential services: 1. Flight Training: Delivering comprehensive pilot training and instructional courses. 2. Aircraft Maintenance: Conducting routine and specialized maintenance and repairs for aircraft. 3. Avionics Services: Offering installation, repair, and maintenance of avionics systems. 4. Aircraft Technical Services: Providing expert technical support and consultation. 5. Avionics Repair and Installation: Repairing and installing avionics systems. 6. Reciprocating Engine Repair and Overhaul: Delivering maintenance and overhaul services for reciprocating aircraft engines. 7. Other Specialized Services: Including aircraft detailing and bespoke modifications and more.
