• Removal of trees and related tree pruning activities along the public ways and the public properties of the Town of Spencer. • Aerial lift (or Crane) operator shall be responsible for the performance of any work higher than five (5) feet above street level. • A ground/cleanup crew consisting of Spencer municipal employees, a truck and chipper will be present to assist the contracted equipment and operator(s). At least two Spencer Highway crew persons, at least one of which will be the Town Tree Warden or his designee, will be present and providing assistance with work performed under this contract at all times. All of our highway crew personnel are experienced with tree removal and pruning operations. At a minimum it is anticipated that the Spencer highway crew personnel can and will serve as the second arborist, an arborist trainee, or other worker trained in emergency procedures and will be within visual or voice communication with the contractor’s equipment operator. • All work will be performed in compliance with ANSI. Z.-133.1-2006 and ANSI A300 standards, and any published amendments or updates thereto. • Estimate of funding for this item for Fiscal Year 2024 through Fiscal Year 2025: $10,000 per fiscal year ($20,000 total). Actual funding for each fiscal year is contingent upon a Town Meeting vote for budget approval. Additional funding in the event of an emergency or storm cleanup may be added at any time.
