The intention of the district is to have the vendor complete all site prep and required underlayment once the district has removed all wood chips from the identified locations. The underlayment should be a material other than concrete to reduce costs unless concrete is less expensive than the alternative being presented by the vendor. The district would like to add the pour-in-place surfacing to one specific area on the Athena Elementary playground located at 3775 Athena School Road in De Soto, Missouri. The surfacing material color should be color matched as close as possible with the current pour-in-place surfacing at the existing Athena Elementary School playground. The district knows it may be cost prohibitive to complete the entire area and thus reserves the right to select the entire area or a smaller section of the area from a single vendor depending on the cost. The total Square footage is 3,023 for the total project.
