Department of Public Safety – Minnesota State Patrol would like to purchase two (2) of Bell Helicopter 429 MX5+ HeliLadder System with two (2) sets of Extensions or State approved equal. Specs to include but not limited to: MX5+KIT MX5+ HeliLadder starts as a 5’ base unit that includes safety handrails, wide rungs, cantilevered, and interchangeable tool trays which includes 5’ Extension with Extended Length Handrails which fits MX5+ HeliLadder and Extension Base Unit (EBU). MXPS-SD Service Deck Assembly which includes 3 Guard Rails, 2 Safety-Gate Bars, 1 Step, 1 Laptop Tray, and 1 Bumper which fits MX5+ HeliLadder; MX-2EXT - 2’ Extension with Safety Handrails for MX5+ HeliLadder; MX-3EXT 3’ Extension with Safety Handrails for MX5+ HeliLadder; MX-4EXT 4’ Extension with Safety Handrails for MX5+ HeliLadder; MX-EBU Extension Base Unit that is compatible with all HeliLadder Extensions; MX-5EXT-ELH 5’ Extension with Extended Length Handrails fit to MX5+ and EBU 1AA rated capacity of 375 pounds, meeting or exceeding all ANSI structural and stability requirements, the MX5+ system provides OSHA compliant access to the engines, upper airframe, and the rotor systems of most single and twin-engine helicopters, as well as difficult-to-access airplane components. Any equipment provided must be tested and certified by an OSHA nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL) - (e.g., UL, TUV, CSA, etc.) in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.7 during the manufacturing process and labeled accordingly (must be visibly tagged).
