a. The provision of emergency shelter to eligible youth 365 days a year b. Provide mattresses for sleeping, linens, towels, showers, meals, and limited access to laundry facilities and overnight storage when applicable. Provide relevant basic needs for households based on population served (laundry, mail, and personal care items), transportation, and connection to crisis services and other community resources as applicable (housing, employment, and medical services) c. Ensure the safety of shelter guests and staff; communicate guest expectations and rules of conduct clearly and regularly; enforce rules fairly using safety-focused, trauma-informed practices d. Evaluate connections to mainstream resources as applicable, and assist guests in connecting with those for which they qualify e. Data & Compliance i. Inform clients of the provider’s shelter and grievance policies pursuant to section 30.04 of the Dane County Ordinances and explain the complaint process with Dane County. ii. Participate in the Dane County Homeless Services Consortium. iii. Adhere to Homeless Services Consortium Dane County/Madison Continuum of Care Written Standards iv.
