Providing necessary landscape architectural services required for the design/construction/repair of identified projects. Assigned work may involve conferences, consultation master planning, urban design, parks & playground design, streetscape design, bike & greenway, athletic, working drawings, pre-design, specifications, estimates, final drawings, programming, drafting of bids/proposals, construction administration, cost planning, inspection, testing, site analysis, bidding/selection recommendation, presentation/recommendation to Staff and/or Council, etc. Consultants shall ensure that work conforms to and is in accordance with current codes and standards. Consultants shall commission a continued effort to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards (LEED) Certifications and enforce sustainability efforts. Other responsibilities may include other engineering professionals participating as part of a team working closely with other professionals. Consultants shall have experience in obtaining permits with the various permitting agencies and may require attending meetings with and/or on behalf of city staff. Sub-consultants, registered in the State of Florida and acceptable to the consultant and the City, shall be retained by the consultant, at their expense.
