The County of Lexington is seeking sealed proposals for Curbside Solid Waste Collection for our Solid Waste Management Department. The intent is to establish a term contract with a vendor(s) to provide single family and duplex households (excluding mobile home parks) of the unincorporated areas of Lexington County, within established Solid Waste Districts # 2, 3, 6, and 7 with curbside, or optional backyard, collection of waste. Districts 2, 3, 6, and 7 (An “Urban” Area) will include the curbside collection of household garbage, yard waste and recyclable materials normally generated by households. The contract shall be in accordance with chapter fifty-four (54) article I and article II of the Lexington County Code of Ordinances and in accordance with the requirements, terms, and conditions as applicable to this invitation to bid. Its use is optional for any municipality located within the franchised areas.
