Responsibilities shall include representing the Redevelopment Agency, attendance at Agency board meetings, assisting Redevelopment Agency staff; provide legal counsel for employee/human resource/labor issues that may occur, including contract negotiations, disciplinary procedures, appearances before PERC and if necessary, interest arbitration; attendance at regularly scheduled and special Agency board meetings and such meetings that may be required by the Executive Director, Board or staff; assisting in preparation and review of bid documents for public contracts; assist in the preparation of ordinances and resolutions; review and if necessary prepare resolutions and ordinances for Agency action; ; representation of the Redevelopment Agency in the sale or purchase of real estate; to the extent necessary, provide counsel on land use matters, including redevelopment and condemnation; defend Agency, Executive Director or Agency Board in in legal proceedings as well as representation before any other public agencies or bodies.
