1.1 Procurement Scope and Description The Division of Conservation Services (DCS) within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) invites proposals from qualified parties to coordinate the Massachusetts Envirothon on behalf of the Division in partnership with a multi-stakeholder Steering Committee of agency and private partners. 1.2 Background information The Massachusetts Envirothon (started in 1988) is the Commonwealth's leading natural resource education program for high school students. It is a part of a national program (https://envirothon.org/), and it emphasizes hands-on, team-oriented problem-solving and community involvement that prepares young people for environmental careers and active engagement in their communities. The Massachusetts Envirothon is a partnership that can serve as a hub for organizations across Commonwealth to invest in environmental education. EEA, and its agencies, have played a key role in supporting the Envirothon in past years, from providing critical seed funding, to hosting the site for the main event, to providing staff to serve on the Steering Committee and as topic area leads
