The selected consultant shall assist Cary in evaluating alternate aeration and mixing systems for the new aerated sludge holding tank. Existing and required blowers capacity shall be evaluated. Alternatives shall be provided, discussing the options of using existing mechanical systems vs installing new pumping systems and incorporated into the final design. A technical memorandum shall be provided that documents these evaluations and recommends a course of action. Final design shall facilitate control of odors. Technical memoranda shall address and compare the relative fiscal impacts of the evaluated alternatives. After meeting with Town staff and arriving at a final design consensus, the selected consultant shall prepare detailed engineering specifications and design drawings as required to construct the planned improvements.
