Work under this contract consists of Surface Treatment Strip Sealing, Mill and Inlay and Crack Sealing from edge of pavement to edge of pavement and to the back of radius on side roads, restriping, and RPM installation on SR 362 from MP 0-11.1 in Meriwether County. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, means of transportation, traffic control and incidentals necessary to perform work. This contract shall be bid-per-line. Any damage to GDOT property that occurs during construction shall be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the department. This includes but is not limited to signs, guardrail, pipes, culverts, drains, bridges, or any other concrete structure Contractor shall mill & inlay 2 inches of 12.5 MM Superpave Asphalt. Contractor is required to utilize 10-foot straight edge on all joints as per the specifications. The contractor shall reinstall the edge line and centerline rumble strips that have been removed by work. Millings shall be hauled to the Meriwether County GDOT Headquarters located at 109 McLaughlin Rd, Greenville, Ga and contact Meriwether County Foreman Keith Neal (706-741-3578) 5 days prior to starting work. This work also includes cleaning, removing dirt, grass, and other debris from cracks and asphalt joints within the project limits, and filling with a polymer/ modified asphalt rubber type S from edge of pavement to edge of pavement. All travel lanes, left turn lanes, right turn lanes, center turn lanes, shoulders (varying widths), gore areas and side roads to the back of the radius within the limits shall be crack sealed. The contractor shall utilize double surface treatment strip seal in various locations in the right wheel path, up to 24 inches wide, on this project. Strip Seal shall be bid per line item. Crack seal shall be paid Lump Sum. Material used for Crack Sealing shall be on QPL 92.
