PROPOSAL Street Paving Project ¿ SUMMER 2025 Overview The City of Blakely (COB) is requesting sealed bid proposals from qualified contractors for the paving of streets as specified in the attached project scope. Work will include surface preparation, asphalt paving, and any associated work needed to complete the project to city and industry standards. Work ¿ Milling and surface preparation ¿ Asphalt paving/leveling to specified thickness and width ¿ Installation of traffic control measures during work ¿ Clean-up and proper disposal of debris ¿ Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations ¿ COB will Clean up and Remove clippings after paving is complete ¿ Final adjustment of manholes and water valves will be responsibility of COB ¿ Contractor shall mark manholes and water valves manually and with GPS ¿ This contract excludes any permanent pavement markings Specific streets and lengths are listed in Attachment A. Requirements Bidders must submit: ¿ Completed Bid Proposal Form (Attachment B) ¿ Proof of current contractor¿s license ¿ Certificate of insurance (general liability, workers compensation) ¿ Proposed project schedule and completion timeline Pricing Total Lump Sum Bid for all specified work: $__________________ Or, provide unit pricing on the Bid Proposal Form (Attachment B). Timeline ¿ Anticipated Notice to Proceed: June 30, 2025 ¿ Project Completion Deadline: October 3, 2025 Terms Payments will be made upon acceptance of completed work and submission of an approved invoice, following the agreed payment schedule: ¿ 50% upon completion of 50% of streets to be paved ¿ Remaining 50% upon final paving and acceptance Add¿l Terms and Conditions ¿ The COB reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the bid in the best interest of the City. ¿ Contractor shall be responsible for all permits and notifications. ¿ All work must meet GDOT (Georgia Dept of Transportation) and City of Blakely specifications
