The scope of environmental work under this project will include the following, additional details are provided in the Specifications: • Contractor shall be permitted in accordance with CGS Section 22a-454 and must be listed as a State of Connecticut “Permitted Spill Cleanup Contractor” (Responsibility of Contractor). • Construction, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of temporary erosion and sediment controls in accordance with the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan and the Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Specification prepared by Fuss & O’Neill (Responsibility of Contractor). • Design, mobilization, operation, monitoring, compliance sampling, state & local reporting, maintenance, decontamination, and demobilization of groundwater dewatering system and remediation wastewater treatment system in accordance with the General Permit Registration for the Discharge of Groundwater Remediation Wastewater and the Contaminated Wastewater Management Specification prepared by Fuss & O’Neill. Includes all local coordination, permitting, design, and construction associated with connection of treated wastewater effluent piping to sanitary sewer along Garden Street (Responsibility of Contractor). • Construction, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of temporary stockpile areas in accordance with the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan, the Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Specification, and the Contaminated Solids Management Specification prepared by Fuss & O’Neill (Responsibility of Contractor). • Demolition, management, and offsite recycling/disposal of surficial bituminous concrete material required to access proposed remediation area (Responsibility of Contractor)...
