The City of Converse intends to award a contract for ground stabilization using non-intrusive, longlasting polymer injection methods. The scope of work includes soil densification to reinforce the base and sub-base layers beneath flexible asphalt pavement. This will be achieved by injecting expansive polyurethane material at a minimum depth of 4 to 5 feet below the road surface utilizing the injection tube countersinking process. The material shall be injected through tubes or directly into pre-drilled holes, following the locations and depths specified by the Engineer. Surface movement shall be monitored throughout the process. If required, injections will continue until the pavement is restored to its proper grade.
