The selected agency shall provide nursing services for those pediatric clients with intensive medical needs. Skilled care may include but shall not be limited to: G-tube feeds, tracheostomy care including suctioning, nebulizer treatments, medication monitoring, seizure monitoring, oxygen treatments, hi-tech ventilator care, etc. All services shall be provided and performed consistent with the scope of nursing in the State of New Jersey. The agency shall submit a copy of the license/certificate from the State of New Jersey for each staff member that will provide service to the district, Nurses shall be available for the following services: 1. Student care, including first aid. 2. Daily transportation (transport nurse) assigned to students who require clinical supervision while being transported to and from school. Nurse shall ride with students, provide care during transport and one to one nursing care during the school day and return student to parents via school bus. Nurses shall not wear earbuds while on duty- hearing aids are acceptable. Nurses shall not make personal phone calls during work hours except in extreme emergency situations. 3. Field trips. 4. One on one nurse for students who require continuous care throughout the school day. 5. Nurses may be required to act as substitute school nurse. 6. The agency shall assign a liaison to coordinate the delivery of services. 7. The agency shall have English/Spanish bilingual nurses available. 8. The agency shall maintain documentation of all services rendered. Documentation shall include: a log of services (dates, times, locations) along with a description of services provided to each student. 9. Agency shall provide CPR training for the staff.
