The City of Chico “City” is soliciting a request for proposals (RFP) from qualified audio-visual-lighting (AVL) firms to update the existing audio-visual-lighting system in the City Council Chambers. The City currently uses the Castus video playback system, https://castus.tv/ to program and operate the public access channel, and utilizes Granicus Live Manager and VoteCast for streaming purposes. The City Council Chambers, located at 421 Main Street in Chico, California, was previously fully updated in 2017. The Chambers have high ceilings that can make it difficult to hear during meetings, as well as poor lighting that makes unsatisfactory video quality. Enhancements for audio, visual and lighting are being requested. The ideal vendor shall have qualified experience in implementing an audio/video/lighting technology upgrade in local government and/or businesses of similar size and scope to the City. The objective is to upgrade to industry standard technology for a semi-automation solution, while maintaining seamless integration with existing audio equipment systems.
