Install an ADA compliant ramp on the side of the house. This must have a 5x5 landing flush with the existing exterior doors threshold. Off the landing install an ADA compliant ramp down to the existing side walk. Slope for ramp must be between 1/8 - 1/12. This ramp and landing do not need to be permanently attached to the home or need any frost protection. It must be a solid platform capable of holding 500lbs without tipping, swaying, or sinking into the ground. Handrailing’s must be compliant for ADA use and capable of withstanding 250lbs of force from any direction. Illinois 2018 Accessibility Code will be used as protocol. Install an approved manufacture ADA electric chair lift over the stairs on the side entry. This will need a rail system that secures to the wall or steps. Must have a swiveling chair for loading and unloading. Chair should be able to fold flat against the wall when not in use. Chair must also have safety restraints keeping a person from falling out. This equipment must have a representative able to train the homeowner in the operation of this product. The finally part of this project will need to replace the front door and the storm. The new door must be of steel or fiberglass of exterior grade. Door should be pre-hung with in swing and double bore. The door must have adjustable threshold and be properly adjusted once the set is completed. Shim and insulate the door frame per manufactures instruction. Matching lockset with single cylinder deadbolt. Storm door in white with self storing screen and glass will be installed after the new door has been completed. Install same deadbolt and lockset on the side entry, matching the front so one key will open all. Building permit before work begins.
